I was standing spitting distance from Ruja Ignatova, a place where thousands of ripped-off investors would now love to be in – and I suspect many would do more than just spit.
The scene was the crammed foyer of a London hotel where so-called Bulgarian crypto queen Ruja was hosting a rally to recruit more investors to her currency OneCoin.
Acolytes like to make a little sign with their hands to resemble a coin to show support for the scheme and so I pulled out my mobile and Ruja happily obliged.

This month her brother Konstantin Ignatov, 33, pleaded guilty in America to fraud and money laundering offences.
He is likely to get away with a penalty…
