EOS beats Ethereum in transaction volumes, thanks to spam onslaught 19859

EOS surpassed Ethereum in crypto transaction volume and reportedly a spam onslaught is the reason. On Sunday, EOS took the number two spot after beating Ethereum and Steem in a few hours. Currently, EOS is at number one in transaction volumes, according to Blocktivity.

This apparently happened due to a crush of spam from a smart contract known as Blocktwitter (not related to Twitter). Reportedly, every second Blocktwitter is creating hundreds of transactions with a message that says, “WE LOVE BM.” Blocktwitter is reportedly taking up huge transaction volume, DailyHodl reported.

Also, on July 20, EOS Blackchain platform’s transaction speed was hitting the headlines as it reportedly broke two records in 24 hours. The blockchain platform surpassed the transaction speed of all other cryptocurrencies with 2,822 transactions per second and went on to 3k transactions per second mark, Blokt reported.
