Dogecoin trails Bitcoin, Ethereum in terms of active addresses

Dogecoin [DOGE] has recorded exponential growth in the market, since its inception. It currently holds the 22nd position in the cryptocurrency ranking list according to CoinMarketCap data. The cryptocurrency’s market cap has increased over 24% in a week. Amid positive investor sentiment, a recent tweet from Kevin Rooke, a cryptocurrency commentator, has pointed out one of the main achievements of the Dogecoin network.

Dogecoin now stands third among all cryptocurrencies in terms of the number of active addresses. The coin is only behind two major cryptocurrencies Bitcoin and Ethereum in the active address ranking list. Pointing to the data obtained from OnChainFX, Rooke said that the Dogecoin network has 72,955 active addresses while Bitcoin, the first digital coin has 536,738 active addresses. Ethereum network featured 235,004 active addresses while Tron has a meager 21,255.
