27 Apr York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office warns residents of scam blackmailing for bitcoin
YORK COUNTY, Va. – The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office warns residents of a scam demanding bitcoin.
Officials say they have received many calls over the weekend regarding an email scam.
The email claims to have video of the resident visiting pornographic sites and threatened to send it to family, unless sent bitcoin.
The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office says do not be fooled by the email.
