UNICEF launches Cryptocurrency Fund – IBS Intelligence

UNICEFThe United Nations Children’s Fund UNICEF said it has set up a cryptocurrency fund to receive, hold and disburse donations in Ether and Bitcoin. It will use cryptocurrencies to fund open source technology benefiting children and young people around the world.

UNICEF will be able to receive, hold and disburse donations of cryptocurrencies through its newly-established UNICEF Cryptocurrency Fund. Under the structure of the fund, contributions will be held in their cryptocurrency of contribution, and granted out in the same cryptocurrency, UNICEF said in a statement.
