A teenager obsessed with the Columbine killers ordered a deadly handgun and bullets on the dark web in preparation for a massacre, a jury has decided.

Kyle Davies, 19, used the cryptocurrency Bitcoin to buy a £300 Glock 17 pistol and five rounds of ammunition from a dealer in New Jersey, USA, in June last year.

The A-Level student had seen the 1999 Columbine gunmen Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, and 2011 Norwegian mass killer Anders Breivik, as “poster boys”, Gloucester Crown Court heard.

He had compiled a “manifesto of death” which included a “shopping list” of weapons, explosives and body armour he would need to carry out a mass attack.

A gas mask, trench coat, boots and ingredients needed to make explosives were on the list.

Davies drew a disturbing sketch of 77 stick men, representing Breivik’s victims.

He had also written ‘Hello Mr Policeman’ and ‘This one Mr Policeman’ on school workbooks recovered from his bedroom, suggesting he expected to be the focus of a police…
