Latest Bitcoin (BTC) news and prices

The world’s number one cryptocurrency by market cap, Bitcoin (BTC) is down by 0.10% and trading at $8,246.39 as per data from CoinMarketCap. Currently, Bitcoin is down by nearly 19% in terms of its monthly performance.

Several Bitcoin advocates continue to eye May 2020’s block reward halving this week as the impact on BTC’s price becomes more evident. Many community members cited that next year’s event will reduce the amount of Bitcoin in circulation up to $63 million per week if one considers current prices.

Bitcoin’s price is displaying positive signs and is currently holding support at around $8,200 against the US dollar. Experts believe that the price could surge past $8,280 and $8,300 resistance levels to continue higher.
