Bitcoin’s price continues to hold onto support above the $8,300 area and many analysts believe the crypto’s price consolidation could lead to Ethereum to a rally, which could lead to “altcoin season” finally happpening. Here are your latest cryptocurrency news and prices.

Latest Bitcoin (BTC) news and prices

Several major cryptocurrency markest were seen recording mild gains yesterday within a tight range of 10 – 2%. However, the altcoin sitting at the number eight spot is the only top twenty coin which stands out as it surged by more than 7.5% during twenty-four hours. 

BTC’s move last week from a low of $7,800 to $8,850, further invigorated excitement from traders & commentators alike, with the possibility of a breakthrough above $10,000 distracting many crypto experts from the possible “altcoin season” which might be upon us.

At the time of writing, bitcoin’s (BTC) price has shed 0.50% and is trading at $8,306.03 as per data from CoinMarketCap.
