A week or two after Nvidia announced an anticipated drop in revenue due to the fall in demand for cryptocurrency mining, and it looks as if one company is going completely the other way

Nvidia looks to be all but getting out of the crypto mining industry, at a time when Sapphire has just announced it’s getting in. Sapphire is a major supplier of video cards based on AMD chipsets, and it’s now announced the launch of its very first cryptocurrency mining rig.

It goes by the name of the INCA CS-14 Block-Chain Compute System. It features 14 CPUs, and has a Linux operating system variant ready installed. The idea is that it’ll offer a hash power of 410 MH/s, albeit eating up 1950W to do so.

It’ll be interesting to see how Sapphire gets on, especially as other companies are finding themselves with excess inventory following much lower than…
