Despite yesterday’s small gains, the cryptocurrency market is tumbling drastically, with bitcoin dropping dangerously close to $6,000 a coin again.
BTC lost 6.36 percent on the day to sit at $6,007.80, having dropped briefly below $6,000 in the early hours of the morning.
Ethereum fell a whopping 17.14 percent to trade for $264.40.
Ripple dropped 13.53 percent to sell for $0.263026, while Litecoin lost 14.52 percent to trade at $4.34.
The downward trend continues as the market slips lower and lower.
Some analysts predict an upturn in the coming month when the Securities and Exchange Commission decides if they will approve of a bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF), that would see prices rocket up.
