A BITCOIN trader who was left penniless after robbers raided his home and stole £280,000 in profit has been found dead in an apparent suicide.

Blogger Pavel Nyashin, 23, had reportedly posted videos on the internet showing piles of cash on the internet he had made – while revealing his address.

The robbery took place at his flat just outside St Petersburg in January.

His heartbroken mum said a large amount of the stolen cash belonged to potential Bitcoin investors and he was unable to pay them back.

The cottage where he was staying was raided by a gang dressed in Santa Claus costumes, who stole 20 million RUB (£233,600) and $70,000 (£51,551) in cash.

They also bagged a number of iPhone X handsets as well as beating him up.
